Stop using hot glue on dollar store plant pots

I keep seeing posts where people hot glue moss or those fake gems onto plastic pots from Dollar Tree and then wonder why it peels off after a week outside. Hot glue can't handle the heat from direct sun, I learned that in Phoenix last June when my whole project sagged by noon. Try E6000 or even super glue gel, it holds way better and costs like $1.25 more. Anyone else had their dollar store creations melt or fall apart in warmer weather?
