Vent: everyone says use pool noodles for the dollar store wreath, mine melted in the sun
I read a comment on here last month saying you should skip the wire frame and just hot glue dollar store pool noodles into a circle for a summer wreath. Sounded smart, so I grabbed two noodles and a $1.25 glue gun from the Hartville store and built one for my mom's front door. Three days on a west facing porch in July and the foam slumped into a sad banana shape, plus the glue let go and two sections fell on the step. What actually held up was the $3 wire wreath form I'd been avoiding because it looked boring, with the same flowers zip tied on. The noodles worked fine for my niece's indoor door hanger because it never sees heat or sun. So before I toss my whole foam plan, has anyone found a cheap way to stiffen dollar store foam so it survives a real porch?
