Drafting template scaling drove me nuts until I tried overlay mode

I spent last Tuesday fighting a 200-sheet shop drawing set in AutoCAD, scaling details over and over. Someone at the local drafters meetup in Portland told me to stop messing with paper space and just use overlay mode for the sections. It cut my setup time from 40 minutes to 12, no joke. Has anyone else switched their workflow like that, or am I late to this?

Was skeptical for years, tried it Tuesday. Never going back to paper space.
