My shop teacher in 1998 made us draw every bolt by hand, and a kid last week asked me what a T-square was
I was helping a new kid at our shop redline a set of plans last week and he pointed at my T-square and asked if it was some kind of big ruler, which honestly made me laugh and then feel kind of old. Back when I took drafting at a community college in Ohio, we spent the first month just hand lettering and drawing threads on bolts, and I thought it was a waste of time until I had to sketch a fix on a job site with no computer around. Do any of you still keep a board and a few pencils around, or is it all CAD for you now?
