Sketch layer names finally clicked after a messy shop drawing mishap

I always thought keeping layer names short like "SHT-FP1" was fine until a contractor called me about a mismatch on a job in Boise last spring. Switched to descriptive names like "FloorPlan_FirstFloor_Struct" and it cut my redraw time by maybe 30 percent. Anyone else find a naming system that sticks or do you just rely on your own memory?
