Went from paper to digital markups, my red pen is collecting dust now
I used to print out every single set of drawings and mark them up with colored pencils on my desk in Cleveland, that was maybe 200 sheets a week. Then my lead drafter switched us to Bluebeam back in March, and I fought it for a solid month because I loved the feel of physical paper. Now I can't believe I did it the old way, mainly because I can just measure and layer comments right on the PDF without reprinting when the architect sends revision C. But I'm curious, how many of you still print for big coordination meetings, or is everyone fully digital at this point?
my red pen is collecting dust now" is a vibe. Its not just drawings either. Same thing happened with my grocery list, my notes at church, even the workout log I kept on the fridge since 2019. Once you get used to searching and editing instead of scribbling, going back feels like using a flip phone. I still keep one legal pad around mostly out of habit but I cant remember the last time I actually wrote on it.
