Found out a standard sheet is 48 lbs, tried carrying two up a ladder and ate it in front of the whole crew
I was reading a spec sheet on a job in Reno last month and saw that a half inch sheet weighs about 48 pounds, which I had never actually bothered to look up before. So I figured two at once was no big deal and started up the ladder like I was some kind of hero. About eight rungs up the second sheet caught a gust of wind, spun me sideways, and I dropped both right into a bucket of mud. The lead guy just looked at me and said "you know they make carts for that, right?" How do you all haul sheets up when there is no lift on site?
