Hung 60 sheets solo with a panel lift or paid my cousin $200 to help, went with the lift
The lift was slower on the ceilings but my back didn't hate me the next morning. Anyone else find the lift is worth it even when you've got a second set of hands available?
The part about the lift being slower on ceilings is what got me, because that's the tradeoff nobody talks about when you do the math. Here's the thing I never see mentioned: liability. If your cousin helps you and drops a sheet on his foot or puts his hand through a window, that's on you. Family and money and injuries do not mix well. The lift doesn't care if you swear at it, it doesn't need lunch, and it shows up every time. Two hundred bucks sounds cheap until you run the numbers on a hurt cousin. Your back is one thing, but your relationships are another.
