My $260 concert ticket vanished because I ignored the fine print
Paid for a resale ticket to a show in Nashville, showed up at the venue, and the barcode was void because the original buyer disputed the charge through PayPal. How do you even protect yourself from that when the resale site just points at their terms and shrugs?
Dude, hate to break it to you but PayPal disputes are not why your barcode got voided. When someone files a chargeback, the resale site doesn't call the venue and kill your ticket. What really happens is the seller sold the same ticket to five different people, or they never even owned it in the first place. I've seen this play out at Red Rocks and at a tiny club in Austin, same story every time. The dispute thing is just the excuse the site feeds you so you stop emailing them. Your real problem is the site let a scammer list in the first place.
