Rant: a $12 monthly app fee turned into $144 a year and I did the math way too late
I got a notification from my bank app showing I paid $12 a month for a recipe app for 14 months straight. That is $168 gone. I only opened the app maybe 9 times the entire time. I found this out while sorting my subscriptions on a Sunday afternoon with a coffee in hand, bored out of my mind. The worst part is I signed up for a free trial and forgot the cancel date by like 2 days. So the $12 kicked in and I just never noticed because it was small enough to hide. Now I check my recurring charges every single month on the 1st. What small subscription snuck up on you guys and how long did it take to catch it?
