Noticed a hot tip at the local grocery store deli counter last week

The guy in front of me asked for their pre-cooked rotisserie chicken to be shredded right there and I realized that saves me 15 minutes on taco night, has anyone else tried getting the store to do that prep work for you?

Didn't your friend ask the bakery to slice their bagels once and get charged extra?

Nah, that's not quite right. My friend asked them to slice bagels once and they just did it no charge. But they did get charged extra for asking them to toast the bagels with cream cheese already on them. The bakery charged like a dollar extra for that because it's a specific prep thing. Stuff like slicing or toasting plain is usually free at most places around here.
