Rant: it took me 6 days to figure out why my flat rate boxes kept getting weighed wrong
I ship about 40 orders a day out of my garage in Tacoma and noticed USPS kept charging me extra for boxes that should have been flat rate. I checked my label software, reprinted labels, even called the 800 number twice, and nobody could tell me what was going on. Turns out my $89 postal scale was sitting on a crooked table leg and reading 3 to 4 ounces heavy every single time. I fixed it with a folded business card under one corner and the overcharges stopped that same afternoon. Has anyone else had a scale slowly drift on them without any warning?
