Spent $400 on a fancy toner cart and my boss laughed at me

Last week I grabbed one of those high end toner cartridges the supply house was pushing, thinking it would make my life easier on a big panel job in Austin. Turns out the cheap hand pump ones work just as good when you're doing 20 breakers and a transformer, and my foreman literally said "you bought THAT?" after watching me fight with it. The fancy one clogs up if you don't use it every day, so it sat in my van while I borrowed his $15 basic kit. Anyone else get talked into the pricey version of something and regret it? What's the real deal on when those expensive toners actually matter?
