Overheard a younger tech talking about how he organizes his bench. Made me rethink my whole setup.

I was at a shop in Tulsa last month waiting on parts and this kid, maybe 22, was telling a buddy how he sorts every capacitor and resistor by value in labeled tackle boxes. I've been using old coffee cans for 15 years, digging through them like a raccoon. Spent $40 on a parts organizer that night. Has anyone else found a simple storage change that cut down their repair time noticeably?

Guess I've been building rockets this whole time and nobody told me... digging through coffee cans is just part of the "character" tax I pay every time I lose a resistor in the bottom.

Not gonna lie, digging through coffee cans sounds like it adds a little character to the job lol. Sorting resistors by value in tackle boxes feels like overkill unless you're building rockets or something.
