Swapped my old multimeter leads for silicone ones and it was a game changer

I used to use the stock leads that came with my Fluke for years. They were always stiff and annoying to route around tight spots on boards. About 3 months ago I grabbed a set of silicone test leads from Probe Master for $40. The flexibility is night and day, I can actually hold the probes steady without fighting the cables. Plus the silicone insulation doesn't get all tangled up like the PVC ones did. Anyone else made the switch or still rocking the factory leads?

Blew out a fuse testing a car battery with cheap leads once.

Oh man, the stiff stock leads are a rite of passage aren't they? I kept using mine way past when I should have swapped them out, mostly because I'm too cheap to spend money on myself. Then I finally caved and got some silicone ones after I accidentally melted the tip of a PVC lead touching a hot soldering iron. The difference is honestly ridiculous, I felt like an idiot for not doing it sooner. Now I'm that guy who gets a little too excited about how bendy my probe wires are, but whatever, it beats fighting a tangled mess every time I need to measure something.
