That capacitor that took me 40 minutes to find but 2 seconds to fix

I was working on a 2012 Samsung TV from a customer in Daytona Beach and it kept going into a weird power cycling loop. I wasted a full hour checking the power supply board and the main board before I noticed a tiny bulged capacitor near the inverter circuit. It was a 1000uF 10v cap that literally looked fine from one angle but had a hairline leak on the bottom side. Anyone else ever chase a simple cap replacement for way too long?

Did you check the solder joints on the inverter board first or just zero in on the caps right away?

Nah, honestly I always start with caps first. Solder joints are usually the last thing I check unless it's a known issue with that model. But hey, sometimes you gotta learn the hard way right.
