Hospital elevator in Cleveland had me scratching my head

I was doing a service call at Cleveland Clinic last Tuesday and their service elevator was just... off. The leveling was about a half inch low every single floor except the 3rd and 7th. I checked the rollers and guide rails and everything looked clean but I could feel it jerking on the way up. Has anyone else run into an elevator that only mislevels on specific floors like that?

Wait, did you check if the door operator was pulling the doors open a split second too early on those floors? I've seen that cause the car to dip weird when it's still settling.

Three years back I had a contractor that kept resetting the door operator timing because the doors were too slow. He shaved off a half second on maybe eight floors. After two months we had to replace three door rollers because they were getting chewed up from the car trying to move while the doors were still opening. The dip was just the beginning. Took us a week to figure out why the leveling was off by almost half an inch on cold mornings.
