A client in Dallas told me my extractions were leaving marks for days
She specifically said, 'My cheeks were red for like four days after my last facial,' which made me realize my pressure was way too aggressive. I switched to a lighter touch and started using a warm compress for a full five minutes before starting that step. Has anyone else had to adjust their extraction technique based on client feedback?

Changing your whole routine because one person had red cheeks seems like an overreaction. Some skin types just react more strongly, and marks are a normal part of deep cleaning. A lighter touch might not get the job done properly for clients with serious congestion. That warm compress is adding a lot of extra time to your service for maybe no real benefit. You could be weakening your technique based on a single piece of feedback instead of trusting your training.

But what if that one client points out a real problem? I had a lady with rosacea who would flare up for days after a regular extraction. Switching to a warm compress first made a huge difference for her skin. It's not about working less, it's about working smarter for different skin needs. Sometimes training doesn't cover every single client situation, right?

Exactly, @the_sean, one client shouldn't rewrite the whole book.
