Appreciation post: I used to think a 401k was just a box to check at work
My friend in Denver showed me his statement, and seeing how his company match doubled his money over five years made it click for me that it's free cash you leave on the table if you don't take it. I bumped my contribution up by 2% right after that chat, which felt like nothing from my paycheck. Has anyone else had a simple moment that finally made retirement saving feel real?
