Rant: I lost $400 on a 'sure thing' stock tip from a friend
A buddy of mine was really excited about a small tech company he heard about and convinced me to put money in last month. The stock dropped over 30% in two weeks after a bad earnings report, and I sold it all. Has anyone else been burned by taking personal stock advice instead of doing their own homework?

Actually asked him first thing, clairem38. He said he was up for the week overall, just had a rough day that session. My point was more about the bad beat itself, not the total money.
