inShowerthought: The guest lounge at my old office went from a ghost town to the busiest spot in the building.
Reminds me of the time our office got those fancy standing desks that also cost a fortune. Everyone was pumped for a week, then half of us just piled papers on them and went back to sitting. The bosses called it an investment in our health, but really it just gave people a new spot to leave their empty coffee cups. Sometimes the fancy stuff is just for show, to make the place feel more important than it is.

inBought a $200 online course on starting a blog and it was just recycled YouTube advice
Yeah, that's a rough deal. Read a good piece recently that said to skip the courses and just start a blog, then use Google's own free guides. Their Search Central blog breaks things down step by step, which is way better than some checklist.

inFinally got my mom to stop clicking every email link, it only took a phishing scam and $200
Honestly that "gibberish" line is so real, my mom used to say the same thing. I thought it was a lost cause until her friend got scammed by a fake bank link that looked perfect. Now I show her how the actual address in the bar is totally different from the clickable text. It finally clicked for her that the gibberish part is what you gotta check.

inThree years ago in Austin, I saw a demo of an AI that could write basic code from a voice prompt. It felt like magic.
Maybe the hype just got ahead of the actual useful tools.

inUpdate: My storm damage call yesterday made me question the always no-spikes approach. It was safer and faster for that tree.
Wait, you actually used spikes on a storm job?!
