My desk cable management went from fortress to free-range in one weekend

I used to zip-tie every single cable to the desk frame like I was building a bomb shelter. Mouse wire, keyboard wire, monitor cables, even the charging cable for my phone all had their own little path. Then last month I got a new monitor arm and just said forget it, now everything just hangs loose behind the desk like spaghetti. It looks way messier but I can swap stuff out in 30 seconds instead of 20 minutes with a flashlight and wire cutters. Has anyone else just given up and let their cables breathe?

A buddy of mine calls his setup "cable chaos theory" and I think that's where I'm headed. I used to have 47 zip ties organizing everything like a third world data center, now my power strip just sits there like a giant metal spider with its legs everywhere. Honestly, the real win is when you need to yank your laptop to go to a meeting and you don't have to perform an exorcism on the USB hub first. Spaghetti is freedom, my friend.

Tried the zip tie route once and learned the hard way too.
