Just lost a whole afternoon and $80 on a 'universal' EGR cooler gasket that didn't fit my 6.7 Powerstroke.

What is it with parts stores selling "universal" parts that only fit the box they came in? That's the kind of afternoon that makes you want to use the gasket to seal the store's front door shut forever. I swear they just slap that word on anything to clear out old inventory. Nothing wastes time and money faster than a part that's supposed to fit everything but actually fits nothing. You'd have better luck making your own gasket out of cardboard and hope.

I spent a week and $200 trying to document a time skip that wasn't there

Wait, @ruby_murphy, you're saying the cat actually sent a bill? That's the part that gets me. I could see the experiment but not the paperwork. My cat would never be that organized.

Update: I was shocked to see a review say the new Kindle's battery actually lasts 18 weeks, not 18 days.

Yeah, that "18 weeks" thing is wild. I had a similar moment watching a review for a cheap fitness tracker. The guy dunked it in a glass of water to prove it was actually waterproof, which the specs only hinted at. Totally sold me on it.

My neighbor in Denver showed me a trick for reviving a sad fiddle leaf fig three months ago.

Wait, your monstera actually puts out new leaves every week @avery629? That's insane.

Warning: Don't buy a generic smart plug without checking the app first

Totally feel that. Bought a cheap one once and the app was so bad it just collected dust. Now I only buy the brand names, the software is the whole point.
