Can we talk about how installing floors used to be more social?

Back then, neighbors would always pop over to chat about the work. Now it's just quiet, feels different, lol.

My uncle did flooring in the 90s and always said those neighbor visits just slowed the job down. Honestly, having strangers tracking sawdust through your house while you're trying to get things done sounds pretty messy. I kinda prefer the peace and quiet of a pro crew just focusing on their work. Isn't a faster, cleaner job better than forced small talk?

Man, @jenny_sanchez, your uncle was onto something there. My cousin worked construction and said those neighbor visits ALWAYS meant extra sweeping and delays. It's not just messy, it TOTALLY kills the momentum. Give me a focused crew any day, hands down.

Remember my dad's crew complaining about the same thing.
