Had to rip up a whole kitchen floor because of one bad subfloor patch

Last Tuesday I finished up a tile job in a kitchen near downtown, but about 8 hours later the homeowner called saying three tiles were already cracked. I drove back over the next morning and found the patch the previous guy had put down was just loose particle board with no glue. Spent a full day tearing everything out and fixing it right with plywood and proper screws. Anyone else deal with shoddy prep work from a previous installer?

Hang on, wait. So someone actually tried to rig it with a literal coat hanger? Like, as in wired it in and walked away?
