Found out my old Game Boy Color screen is actually reflective, not backlit
I was reading a retro gaming forum last night and realized I spent years squinting at that thing under a lamp when the screen was designed to use ambient light, and now I'm wondering how many other features I missed on old gadgets.

Thirty years later and people are still surprised by basic tech specs from the 90s? It's just a screen, not some hidden cheat code, you know.

Right? And it's not even just being surprised by old tech. The weird thing is how people romanticize it now. Like "oh remember when screens were simpler" but they were also heavy as bricks and had terrible viewing angles. People act like a 90s monitor had some special warmth or something. No, it was just dim and fuzzy.
