Spent $450 on a Milwaukee M18 cordless grinder for cleanup work
It saved me a ton of time on a big job in Toledo last month, no more dragging hoses or hunting for outlets. But my buddy says I'm crazy and a cheap corded one for $100 would have done the same job just fine. Has anyone else made a big tool buy that split opinions in the shop?

Your buddy's never had a cord wrap around a branch mid-cut.

Yeah that's a nightmare. Keep the cord behind you and off to the side. If you have to cut overhead, try to get directly under the branch so the cord hangs straight down. Saw a guy once try to reach way out, cord went right around a limb and yanked the saw back at him. Not good.
