Vent: A client ghosted me after I finished a $2,500 project last month

I sent the final files, the invoice, and then radio silence for three weeks, no payment. What finally got them to respond was me sending a revised invoice with a late fee, which they paid immediately but complained about. Has anyone else had to play hardball to get paid for work you already delivered?

Sending a revised invoice with a late fee is such a power move lol. Did they give any excuse for ghosting you for three weeks in the first place?

Power move maybe, but idk it feels kinda petty to me. Like maybe they had a real reason for being late.

Yeah @jessec35, I used to hate late fees but this changed my mind.
