inPSA: A job in the Everglades three years back made me rethink pump strainers for good.
My old kitchen sink had a strainer with a bad seal that led to a leak under the cabinet. The repair bill was way more than a decent strainer would have cost. That guide is right, those small gaps are just asking for a huge headache.

inJust realized my cheap blade grinder was ruining my coffee
My cheap kettle couldn't hold a steady pour, which was a whole other problem (it made a mess).

inHad a ladle handle snap clean off during a pour yesterday afternoon, scared the heck out of me.
Snapping clean off is the worst. I once had a whole bottle opener break in my hand mid-pull, left me just standing there holding a metal ring like an idiot.

inSpent $450 on a ground penetrating radar rental for a dig site and it showed a clear void, but some say it's a waste versus old school test pits.
Seriously? How much would paying a crew for those extra weeks of digging have cost instead? The rental fee probably saved you money in the long run. Sounds like a smart move to me.

inAm I the only one who tried using a plastic scraper on a composite panel and watched the static spark?
Forget the sensors, that static could wipe the whole memory bank.
