My neighbor Joyce showed me how to save $6 a week on veggies

I was complaining about how fast my spinach goes bad and she just looked at me and said 'put a dry paper towel in the bag, it soaks up the moisture.' Tried it last Monday and my greens last a full 5 days longer now. Anyone else have a simple tip that changed how they store produce?

Oh man, I used to be the person who just threw greens in the fridge and prayed they'd last. I thought the paper towel thing was some kind of myth or just extra work for no reason. But I finally tried it with a bag of arugula and yeah, it legit kept it crisp for almost a week longer than normal. I guess all that extra moisture really does speed up the wilting.

Wait, a paper towel? That's it? I honestly thought I'd have to buy some fancy container to keep my lettuce from getting slimy.
