A comment on my video review completely changed how I test battery life

I used to just run a gadget until it died and call it a day. Someone wrote, 'You're not simulating real use, you're just draining it. Try mixing screen-on time with standby over 48 hours.' I felt called out, but they were right. Now I do a two-day mixed-use test for every phone or tablet review. Anyone else have a better method for checking real-world battery performance?

Oh man, that's so true! I got a similar tip about checking my laptop's battery, and it totally changed my routine too. @piperf40 is onto something about how we stick with our first method.
