Serious question, why do so many people skip the battery section in reviews?

I bought a tablet based on a glowing write-up, but the reviewer only mentioned battery life once, and it died after 4 hours of use. Do you guys actually check for that, or just trust the overall score?

How can you trust a review that skips the battery part? I always search the page for the word "battery" first, because that's where they hide the bad news. If it's not there, the review isn't worth your time.

Battery life is the most important spec, and skipping it makes the whole review useless.

Most important spec" feels like a stretch for a tablet that mostly sits on my coffee table. How often are you really away from a charger?
