That line about "my garage floor epoxy failed after 6 months" hit home. I used to think all epoxy was basically the same, but this changed my mind about prep work being the real key.

Man that "6 months" line stings because I'm currently staring at a failed spot in my own garage floor that started peeling right at the 5 month mark. Turns out the concrete had a sealer on it from years ago that I never even knew about. All that elbow grease I put into sanding and cleaning just wasn't enough to get down to bare concrete. Prep work is honestly 90 percent of getting a good bond, but nobody wants to hear that when they're already tired and just want to get it done.
