Shoutout to the cheap magnetic tool strips I bought for my pegboard
I spent about $35 on a set of three magnetic strips from a discount site, thinking they'd be a great way to organize my wrenches. They lost their grip after a month and my tools fell and got scratched up. Has anyone found a reliable brand that actually holds weight?

I used to buy the cheap ones too, but a ruined socket set taught me a lesson. The stronger magnets in pricier strips are worth it for peace of mind. What brand did you end up going with?

Yeah @alicea26 that's pretty much what happened to me too. But actually I gotta push back a little on the brand name thing. I grabbed a set of "premium" magnetic strips from a well known hardware store and they still lost strength after about 8 months. The trick I found is that it's not just the brand but the material of the magnet itself. Neodymium magnets are way stronger than the regular ceramic ones even in the cheap strips. I bought some generic neodymium ones off Amazon for like $20 and they've been holding my entire wrench set for over a year now. So don't sleep on the no name stuff if you check the magnet type first. Just make sure they're actually neodymium and not just saying "strong magnet" on the box.

Stick with the name brand stuff for magnets. I grabbed some from Harbor Freight that were total junk, but the ones from a hardware store have been solid for years. They hold my heavier screwdrivers without any issue.
