Found out our guest lounge coffee costs way more than I thought
Honestly, I was just going over the supply receipts for our office guest lounge because we were running low on stuff. I saw the line for the coffee pods and did a double take. We're paying $0.85 per pod for that brand we get. I looked it up and a normal pod from the store is like $0.50. That's almost double for the same thing. I asked our office manager about it and she said the vendor we use charges a 'convenience fee' for automatic monthly delivery. It adds up to over $70 extra a year just for coffee. Tbh, it feels like we're just throwing money away for no real reason. Has anyone else found a cheaper way to keep a guest lounge stocked with decent coffee without getting ripped off?

My old office got hit with that same delivery fee. We ended up just buying big canisters of regular coffee and a cheap brewer.

That delivery fee situation is the worst. My last job had the same thing happen with the fancy coffee service. The boss just went to a big box store and got a basic drip machine. We bought those huge tubs of ground coffee from the wholesale club. It was not fancy at all, but it got the job done and saved a ton of money.

Exactly, and like troy_jenkins said, that simple fix keeps everyone caffeinated without the crazy fees.
