Oh man, that's so cool! It's wild where those old clues hide. I got obsessed with this one faded number painted on a utility pole near my grandma's house. Turns out it was an old phone line marker from like the 1940s, before our area even had proper addresses! Sometimes the oldest stuff is just plain out in the open on forgotten bits of infrastructure, like weird bolts on a bridge or serial numbers on a water tower.

Seriously? A phone line marker from before addresses? That's nuts. Makes you wonder what else is out there just waiting to be the key to some old story. Stuff gets painted over or ignored for decades.
