That time I got hired to plant a 'fairy circle' and now I'm pro artificial turf

So last week, this lady paid me to create a perfect fairy circle in her backyard with toadstools and tiny flowers. I mean, it was a total mess because the mushrooms kept dying and the birds ate the seeds. After that, I started to wonder, why bother with all this natural stuff when fake grass looks just as good and needs no care? Idk, maybe it's just me, but I've seen so many high-maintenance gardens fail. Artificial turf stays green all year, and you don't have to water it or mow it. Sure, it's not 'eco-friendly' or whatever, but neither is wasting water on a lawn that dies in the heat. Plus, after the fairy circle fiasco, I'd rather install something that won't attract pests or need constant fixing. Most folks in this trade hate on synthetic lawns, but I say if it saves time and looks decent, why not?

Disagree with the turf love. It might save time, but it kills the soil and doesn't support any life. A messy garden is still better than a fake one, lol.

Stop pretending fake grass is a solution. Your fairy circle failed because nature is tricky, not because it's worthless. Artificial turf wrecks the soil and offers nothing to local wildlife. It might save you time, but it costs the planet. Learning to work with real plants, even when they die, is how we get better gardens. Giving up after one mess is just lazy.

Fairy circles are a pain, so I get why you'd consider turf. Just know it gets super hot and can mess with drainage. A small patch of fake grass might work without killing the whole yard.
