Mijdrecht is a small town of like 20k people and here they've got a security firm doing mental health care security, event security, and construction site stuff all under one roof. That's the pattern I keep seeing everywhere now, where one company handles everything instead of having a bunch of small local specialists. Same thing happened with my parents' plumbing guy who now does electric work and roof repairs too. It feels efficient on paper but I always wonder if a team spread across that many different jobs can really be great at all of them. Guarding a concert crowd and guarding a psych ward are not the same skill set at all. Maybe it works fine, but the jack of all trades thing makes me a little skeptical when it comes to something like safety.
