Hot take: My patio cover blueprint had a GLARING omission that sparked a laugh riot

Calling it dramatic is fair, but my patio cover would've lasted about five seconds.

My entryway needs a pop and I'm debating peel-and-stick wallpaper against the traditional kind.

How long does paste-on really last if the walls aren't prepped just right though? I tried the traditional kind once and it was a huge mess, the seams kept lifting after a year. My cousin used a good quality peel-and-stick in her bathroom, of all places, and it's been solid for three years. For a busy spot like an entryway, the easy fix of peel-and-stick wins for me every time.

My view on our city's ferry service totally flipped after this weekend.

My buddy Mark took the ferry around the bay on a whim. He couldn't believe how pretty it was for the price. Now he tells all our friends to try it.

Rant: My avocado habit clashes with my climate worries

Does the guilt ever make you think about cutting back, or do you try to offset it in other ways? I understand that struggle deeply. Avocados are a big part of my diet too, and it's hard when something you enjoy feels wrong. Maybe we can focus on other green choices to make up for it. It's all about finding what works without driving yourself crazy.

Rant: I showed up to a beach cleanup in Thailand dressed for a client call

Always read the full event page, not just the title. I learned that the hard way too, showing up to a 'networking mixer' that was actually a group hike. Save yourself the hassle and scan for words like 'cleanup' or 'volunteer'. Your story worked out, but it's better to know you'll be hauling trash before you pick your shoes.
