Hit 50 agency reviews this quarter and that's way more than I expected

I just counted up the reviews I've written for agencies this quarter and hit 50. That number surprised me because I figured I'd done maybe 30 at most. It really hit me how much time I spend on these things now compared to a few years ago when I'd maybe write one a month. Back then agencies mostly just handed you a report and you trusted it. Now everybody wants a detailed breakdown of every move. Is it just me or have we all gotten way more picky about who we work with?

Makes me wonder if agencies are keeping up with how particular clients have gotten.

Whoa hold on, I actually see it kind of the opposite way. Yeah clients have gotten more particular but I think agencies dropped the ball first by hiding behind their fancy reports and not showing their real work. If they had been more upfront from the start we wouldn't need to write 50 reviews just to figure out if they're actually good. I think the shift happened because too many agencies promised big results and then just delivered the same cookie cutter stuff to everyone. So now we have to dig deeper just to protect ourselves from wasting money and time.
