Tried a smaller agency after a big one, got way more attention

We switched our PPC account from a 30 person firm to a 4 person shop in Austin last quarter. The big guys only emailed us once a month, the small team rewrote all our ad copy in week one and cut our cost per click by 18%. Has anyone else seen better results after downsizing agencies?

Funny how that works, right? Same budget, same platform, but suddenly you are a human to them instead of a line item. The big shops have so many clients that they basically run on autopilot, so your account just gets tossed into some reporting template and forgotten. Small teams live and die by your results, so they actually dig into the data and test stuff weekly instead of waiting for a monthly check in. We had a similar thing where our old agency never touched negative keywords for six months, and the new crew cleaned that up in two days. It is like the difference between a landlord and someone who actually owns the house, one just collects the check and the other fixes the leaky roof.
