Algebra headache: AI tutor bot dropped the ball on a simple equation

Last night, I was stuck on an algebra problem and asked an AI tutor for help. It told me to use a method that didn't fit the question. I found out the AI mixed up different math rules. This got me thinking about how AI can get confused with tricky problems. It's cool tech, but it needs more work to be good for school stuff. Has anyone else had AI give them bad tips on homework? I'm curious if this is common or just a one-time thing.

Yeah, that's so frustrating when you're already stuck and the help you get is wrong. I tried one for a basic fraction problem last week and it gave me steps that made no sense at all. Had to go back and figure it out myself, which kind of defeated the whole point.

Actually those AI tutors are pretty solid most of the time. Sure it messed up once, but human tutors get things wrong too. The bot is free and available at 2am when you're stuck, which beats waiting for class. For simple homework help, it's still a useful tool more often than not.

My brain does the same thing with numbers! I'm great at counting reps but ask me to solve for x and I'm lost.
