I finally figured out the AI system for streetlight repairs

Our neighborhood installed streetlights that report outages with AI. They use small sensors to check if a light is broken. When one fails, it sends a signal to the city crew. Last week, a light near my house was fixed in hours instead of days. This tech saves time and keeps streets safer at night. I hope more places adopt similar ideas.

That sensor system sounds smart, but how does the AI tell the difference between a real broken light and just a power flicker? I'd worry about false alarms wasting the repair crew's time. The tech only helps if it's actually accurate.

Your concern about false alarms, @mitchell.daniel, reminds me of how my home security system once called the cops over a raccoon. The system was supposed to be smart, but it wasted everyone's time with that mistake. So yeah, accuracy really matters before we trust this stuff completely.

Wonder if the AI could also predict which lights are about to fail.
