I told a coder his AI chatbot was useless for real problems
Met a guy at a hackathon in Austin last spring who kept bragging about his new support chatbot. I asked him what happens when a customer types 'my internet dropped and I already rebooted the router'. His bot just spat out 'try rebooting the router' again. He got defensive and said it learns over time. I showed him my clipboard with three failed real world questions on a napkin right there. Has anyone else seen these demos fall apart under actual testing?

Right, I saw someone post a video of it doing pretty good actually. Still early days though.
