PSA: My AI assistant ordered 200 pounds of cat food by mistake
Last Wednesday I told my voice assistant to "add cat food to the cart" and it somehow ordered a bulk pallet from a warehouse in Ohio. The delivery guy showed up with a forklift and I don't even own a cat. Has anyone else had an AI tool go completely off the rails like this?

Feel you man, that's rough. I had my phone's assistant order a whole case of energy drinks once when I just wanted one can. The delivery guy looked at me like I had a problem. It's like these things hear what they want to hear and just go with it. At least you can probably donate the cat food to a shelter and make some furry friends real happy.

it somehow ordered a bulk pallet" - I'm gonna be honest, I think you probably said something like "add a pallet of cat food" and didn't realize it. These assistants are dumb, they just listen for keywords. If you actually said "add cat food to the cart" normally, it wouldn't jump to a forklift delivery.
