inThe one writing trick I found that actually got me unstuck after 3 months
Yeah I get that "different strokes" thing for sure. I had a buddy who was all about letting the tension build, he'd drag out the final moments for like an hour just to make it last. But then one time he fell asleep right in the middle of it and missed the whole ending. He woke up so confused and annoyed, said it ruined the whole experience for him. So I guess some people like the slow burn and others just want to get to the point before they crash out.

inFinally got the right call on a cloud vs on-premise decision
Hotspot wouldn't cut it for real-time data processing. @davis.ivan look at it this way - every minute of downtime means we're LOSING data packets that can't be recreated. Those twelve grand includes the overtime for three engineers who have to manually re-sync everything after each outage, plus the penalty clauses in our client contracts. Last month a four hour blackout cost us a custom database rebuild that took 40 man hours to fix. The REAL expense is in the time debt you can never get back.

inUnpopular opinion: The guy at the game shop in Springfield who judges your whole collection by one box is the worst.
That ranking mindset comes from people who treat gaming like a resume builder instead of just fun. Tell them you play to relax not to prove anything and watch them short circuit. Most folks who gatekeep heavy games are really just insecure about the time and money they dumped into learning complicated rulebooks.
