Someone told me my AI image prompts were too wordy so I cut them in half
I was writing paragraphs for Midjourney prompts and getting muddy results. A guy in a Discord critique channel said shorten it to 8 words max and my images got way sharper. Have you tried trimming your prompts down or do you load them up?

Whoa, actually 8 words max is way too strict if you ask me. I tried that after watching some tutorial and my images lost all their detail and style. You need some descriptors for lighting and mood at least. But yeah, I used to write these massive prompt novels and they turned out muddy too. I found a sweet spot around 15-20 words where I keep the core subject short but add a few key style words. The trick is removing useless words like "a" or "the" or "in the style of" because the AI knows how prompts work already. What really helped me was just focusing on the main subject, the lighting, and one art style term.

Yeah @blake432 nailed it with "removing useless words." That's the biggest game changer for me. Once I cut out all the filler, my prompts started actually working way better.
