Ditching the preheat step made my wings way better

I used to always preheat my air fryer for 5 minutes before adding wings and they came out dry every time. Started throwing them in cold and now they're way juicier with crispier skin, anyone else skip preheating?

Dry wings are annoying but I wouldn't call them a crime against humanity. Seems like a lot of drama over some chicken. Preheating or not, it's still just wings at the end of the day.

Preheating the air fryer is like waiting for your coffee to cool down before drinking it, just seems like a waste of time. I threw some frozen wings in cold once on a whim and they came out so juicy I almost cried. Now I just toss them in with a little baking powder and let the machine do its thing while I prep the sauce. Dry wings are a crime against humanity, give me that cold start life or give me death.
