That $90 wireless keypad that lasted exactly 2 months outdoors
Installed a wireless keypad on a customer's gate in Raleigh last fall, and the moisture seal failed before the warranty even mattered. Anyone else find a decent weatherproof model that doesn't die after one rainy season?

Silicone dielectric grease on the contacts before install stops that.

Grease helps some but on a cheap keypad it’s just patching a bad seal. The metal contacts corrode from the inside out regardless. I’d look for one with a rubber membrane gasket over the whole backplate instead.
