Wiring a new condo building in Austin and saw every single low-voltage panel installed directly above the main electrical panel, which is just asking for interference.

The property manager insisted it saved the electricians 'time and conduit' but now the whole building's alarm and data runs are basically useless until they're all rerouted (at a cost I'd guess around $15k, honestly).

Oh man, that's the perfect example of a "save a penny now, pay a pound later" move. I see this everywhere, from cheap apartment fixtures that break in a year to those awful plastic utility covers in sidewalks that crack immediately. It's like we've totally forgotten how to build things that last.
